About Jinxed

Jinxed is a free multiplayer trivia game you play in a browser, on a phone or a computer, with nothing to install. A prompt appears ("Name a fruit"), everyone types as many answers as they can before the timer ends, and rarer answers score more. If you give the same answer as a friend you are jinxed, and you split its points.

Ways to play

• A room with friends. One player makes a room and shares its 4-letter code or link. Everyone else joins with a nickname, no account needed.
• Quick Play. Join the public room and play with whoever is there.
• The Daily Brew. Three prompts a day, the same for everyone, played alone. You see how many of the day's players brewed each of your answers.

Where the answers come from

Every prompt has its own list of accepted answers, built from sources such as Wikipedia lists wherever one exists, then reviewed. Each answer has a rarity, from a Murky potion worth 1,000 points to a Primordial one worth 8,000. The lists grow from what players really type, so an answer that was missing last week may count today. Small typos are forgiven; meanings are never guessed.

Who makes it

Jinxed is made by one independent developer. It is free to play. An optional shop sells outfits for your cat, which change nothing about how the game plays.
